We are so excited to kick off the summer wedding season with our Summer 2023 Team! A collaboration of the Lead Team, Marketing Coordinators, and Planning Coordinators work together to make Alexandra Madison Weddings possible. Read along to get to know more about each team member!
The Lead Team
Alexandra Woodlief - Owner & Lead Planner/Designer
Alexandra is the owner and lead designer behind Alexandra Madison Weddings! Alexandra founded AMW in 2013 and has training & wedding experience all across the country. She has widespread experience across event management from catering, rentals, venue management, and of course, wedding planning! Her favorite part of the wedding day is the cake cutting, as she loves how special that first moment is between the new couple! Alexandra is excited to be working with the Summer team and she is looking forward to the rest of this fun summer season!
Parker Coggins - Lead Planner
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Parker is one of our Charlotte-based Lead Planners. After graduating from USC, Parker helped expand AMW further into North Carolina starting in 2019. Parker has experience in events, private clubs, catering, banquets, and golf tournaments. Parker's favorite wedding trend is anything specialty monogrammed, as she feels it adds a personal touch to wedding day details!
Sarah English - Lead Planner
Since joining the AMW team in 2019, Sarah is one of our lead planners. Originally from Chapin, South Carolina, she studied Public Relations and Business at USC. Sarah enjoys working with AMW as her position gives her the opportunity to be a positive role model for each season's interns. We had the privilege of planning Sarah's wedding last year, and you can view photos of her bright and colorful wedding album by Ashley Donahue Photography here!
Kendra Nedell - Lead Planner
Kendra joined our team last fall and is one of our Lead Planners. Originally from Virginia, Kendra graduated from Washington & Lee University with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Studio Art. Kendra is a Charleston-based planner and she enjoys Charleston weddings, as the city has such a variety of beautiful venues! Her favorite parts of the wedding day include florals and music!
Abby Fox - Lead Planner
Abby joined the AMW team last winter and is now one of our Lead Planners! Originally from Utah, Abby graduated form the University of Utah in 2022 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. Abby loves working with AMW as she enjoys providing guidance to brides, planning all of the little details, and working with the rest of the team. Abby's favorite parts of the wedding day are the first dance and the floral displays.
Katherine Rentz - Production Manager
As the AMW production manager, Katherine works closely with our marketing team and coordinates all of our styled shoots. She graduated from USC with a degree in Marketing & Business Economics, and her favorite part about working for AMW is creating new and meaningful connections with team members, vendors, and clients. Katherine plays a variety of roles within the AMW team, and she has been a great mentor to this season's team of interns!
Mary Katherine Kovalchik - Specialty Orders Lead Assistant
As Lead Assistant of Specialty Orders, Mary Katherine works closely with brides to plan and order any special items for their wedding day! From Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary Katherine is a Senior Fashion Merchandising Major at USC. She loves the getting ready photos from a bride's wedding day, and she is eager to help every bride bring their vision to live for their big day!
Planning Team
Julia Bayer - Planning Associate
Julia is both a planning intern and assistant to Lead Planner Sarah, assisting with vendor rentals. From Loveland, Ohio, Julia will be a Senior at USC, studying Sport and Entertainment Management. Julia joined AMW to gain more experience in the weddings sector of the event industry, and her favorite part has been seeing the combination of the clients' and team's visions come to life on wedding days! Julia's current favorite wedding trend is colorful ginger jars!
Braxton Coffman - Planning Associate
Braxton is a planning intern and assists lead planner Abby with special orders. From Chapin, South Carolina, she will be a Senior at USC majoring in hospitality management. Braxton is passionate about organizing events, and she said she has learned how important teamwork is when planning weddings. Braxton says that one of her favorite parts of the internship has been getting to know the other girls, and her current favorite wedding trend is little umbrellas!
Elizabeth Dibble - Planning Associate
In addition to working as a planning intern, Elizabeth is also Alexandra's assistant. From Orangeburg, South Carolina, Elizabeth is a Senior Communications major at College of Charleston. Elizabeth joined AMW to gain knowledge about the event and entertainment industry, and she has learned the importance of details, hard work, and most importantly - having fun! Elizabeth says that one of her favorite parts of the internship is celebrating the bride and groom and creating a perfect, stress-free wedding day for them.
Mary Marshall Howey - Planning Associate
In addition to planning all of the details for our clients' weddings, Mary Marshall is assistant to Lead Planner Sarah. From Rock Hill, South Carolina, Mary Marshall graduated in 2023 as a Hospitality Major at USC. She is passionate about developing as a professional, and she said she has gained time management and organizational skills through working for AMW. One of Mary Marshall's favorite wedding trends is varied styles/colors of dresses for the bridal party.
Emma Jones - Planning Associate
Emma is a planning intern and assists lead planner Parker with special orders. From Louisville, Kentucky, Emma is a Junior at USC studying sports and live entertainment. She is passionate about fashion and design, and she joined AMW to gain a better understanding of the in's and out's of event planning. Emma's favorite part of the internship has been seeing raw ideas transition from paper to the day of the wedding. Her current favorite wedding trend is orchid bouquets!
McKenna Vischer - Planning Associate
In addition to her tasks as a planning intern, McKenna also manages invites and assists lead planner Kendra. Originally from Virginia, McKenna is a Junior at USC studying Retail and Event Management. McKenna says she has always had an interest in the wedding industry, and since joining AMW, she has enjoyed planning and organizing the details and files involved in wedding planning. She says one of her favorite parts of the job has been getting to know the leads/interns both in and out of the office!
Marketing Team
Charlotte Carroll - Marketing Coordinator
Charlotte is a marketing intern and she runs the AMW website and Facebook page. From Greenville, South Carolina, Charlotte is a Junior at USC studying Marketing and HR Management. She joined AMW to be involved in a fun environment that will provide her with valuable marketing experience, and she has enjoyed excitement of the behind the scenes of wedding planning. Charlotte says her favorite part of AMW is the company culture and friendly atmosphere
Olivia Chisholm - Marketing Coordinator
In addition to being a marketing intern, Olivia also runs the AMW Youtube channel. From Charlottesville, Virginia, Olivia is a Junior Visual Communications Major at USC. She is passionate about photography and videography, so she joined the AMW team eager to learn about the media elements of wedding planning. Olivia says her favorite part of the internship is the positive and upbeat energy that everyone brings into the office, and her favorite wedding trend is custom painted champagne bottles
Lauren Floyd - Marketing Coordinator
Lauren is a marketing intern and she runs the AMW TikTok account. From Lexington, South Carolina, Lauren is a Junior at Clemson University studying Marketing. Lauren joined AMW to develop her marketing and advertising skills, and she has enjoyed being a part of all of the details that go into planning a wedding. She says her favorite part of the internship is the people she is surrounded with at AMW, and her favorite wedding trend is bright, colorful floral arrangements!
Quinn Murray - Marketing Coordinator
As a marketing intern, Quinn also creates the monthly newsletters and assists Mary Kate with special orders. From Augusta, GA, Quinn is a Senior at USC studying Fashion Merchandising and Advertising & Public Relations. She joined AMW eager to gain experience in event planning, and since beginning the internship, she has learned the value of teamwork and organization. Her favorite part of the internship is working alongside the fun, positive, and uplifting team at AMW!
Anna Pratt - Marketing Coordinator
As a marketing coordinator, Anna creates content for the AMW Instagram page and TikTok account. From Charlotte, North Carolina, Anna is a Junior at USC studying Marketing and Management. One of her favorite parts about AMW is working alongside the lead planners and other interns, and Anna says that she enjoys the kind and casual work culture. Anna is looking forward to continuing to use her creativity through new and fun social media content!
Ashley Koenig - Marketing Coordinator
As a marketing coordinator intern, Ashley also manages the AMW Pinterest account. From Castle Rock, Colorado, Ashley is a Senior Marketing major at USC. She joined AMW eager to gain experience with marketing in a fun environment, and she says her favorite part of the internship is the upbeat company culture. She is looking forward to increasing the company's marketing potential, and her favorite wedding trend is brides' dress changes from the ceremony to the reception!
