A picture is worth thousands of words, but a video is worth millions. Having a videographer film your wedding day lets you relive that special day. Videos give you voices and in-the-moment actions. I got to chat with videographer Justin Brown, the Cinematography and Owner of Box Turtle Films, to see why having them at your wedding is worth it.
Question: Why do you think having a videographer film your wedding day is important?
Answer: Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event. With a wedding film, you can see the moments happen again and hear them and feel the emotions. You and your partner get to re-experience your wedding day, and if you have kids, they can also watch their parents get married.
Question: What is your favorite part of being able to record these moments for the bride and groom?
Answer: My favorite part of being able to record these moments for the bride and groom is the emotion. I love capturing the love on their faces and in their eyes. The excitement, the tears, and the joy are all elements of a wedding day that I love to record.
Question: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Answer: The most rewarding part of my job is the couple's reaction to seeing their films. I work with such sweet couples, and the kind words they have for me after seeing their finished films are the most rewarding part.
Question: How many weddings do you get booked for a year?
Answer: Last year was amazing. I ended up filming 37 weddings last year. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday weddings were much more common in 2022.
Question: What are your couple's favorite parts about the video you make for their wedding?
Answer: My couple's favorite parts of the films I make for their wedding are how I capture and emphasize their day's emotional and romantic moments.
