Spring Wedding Trends

Updated: Mar 9, 2021

Ah, the spring wedding season is almost upon us! There’s something that just feels right about planning a spring soiree including flowers, the sweet scents, and of course, the sunlight. With a new season, comes new trends and there are a few that you do not want to miss out on. It is easy to get lost in the chaos of up-and-coming fads, so let AMW guide you through spring 2021 wedding trends. From fashion to food, we’ve got you covered.

Creative Entertainment

Pretty self-explanatory, but think outside of the box! We are starting to see more and more couples veer outside of the box by featuring bluegrass bands, live painters, photo booths, mariachi bands, yard games, illustrators, and more!

Statement Earrings

We love to see this trend coming back into play. Why not be bold on one of your most special days? There are so many different options when approaching this trend. While there are so many statement earrings that are still classic, AMW is also seeing lots of brides adding in pops of color to their look!

Retro and Bold Color Palettes

Because who doesn't love a good throwback? These pictures are from our retro-inspired styled shoot this past fall, but there are so many different paths to take when choosing a retro color scheme and can easily be dominant in the spring. Think honey gold, tangerine, olympian blue, and rose smoke.

Puff Sleeves

The bigger the better! This spring get ready to see lots of luxurious sleeves. From short sleeves to three-quarters, the puffy sleeves are making a comeback. Alongside this, we are seeing less and less traditionally structured wedding dresses. With that comes more room for different fabrics and textures throughout the dress.

Soft Greenery

Nothing screams spring quite like flowers. This spring, try incorporating some softer greenery into the mix. Some great greenery sprigs to incorporate include but are most definitely not limited to: hydrangeas, eucalyptus, freesia, and tulips.

Individualized Foods

With wedding season upon us alongside COIVD-19, we are seeing more and more creative ways to individualize food. Not only does it help spread fewer germs, but it's so fun! This new trend also allows for greater variation in food selection. A couple of options we have seen are individualized charcuterie boards and grab and go dessert boxes.

Colorful Suits

We can't forget about the guys! More men are getting playful with their suit choices because hey, it's their special day too. We suggest trying on a color that blends well with the color palette of your wedding day!

English Garden Vibes

The more flowers the better! With shows like The Crown and Bridgerton on the rise, think lush, fresh, and whimsical with lots of drama.
